Position: Security Officer
Location: Various sites across the United Kingdom
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or Event-Based contracts
Start Date: Immediate or negotiable
Pay Rate: £12.50 – £15.50 per hour (depending on experience, site requirements, and shift patterns)

Role Overview
Atlas is seeking reliable and professional Security Officers to support operational security services across commercial, hospitality, community, and event environments. Successful applicants will carry out protective security duties, maintain safety standards, and represent the company to clients and visitors.

These roles suit motivated individuals with strong communication skills who are comfortable working on rotating shifts and interacting with the public.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols and site inspections
  • Control access and verify entry permissions
  • Monitor CCTV and respond to alarms when required
  • Provide a visible security presence to deter crime and anti-social behaviour
  • Assist with incident response and reporting
  • Produce clear written records and handover details
  • Deliver great customer service to clients and visitors
  • Maintain professional appearance and behaviour at all times
  • Follow company and site-specific procedures
  • Comply with UK legislation, SIA standards, and GDPR requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervisor licence
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English
  • Ability to work shifts including nights and weekends
  • Reliable and punctual work attitude
  • Right to work in the UK (document checks required)

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Security Officer in the UK
  • CCTV licence
  • Experience in customer service environments
  • First Aid qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
