Position: Training & Development Manager
Location: United Kingdom (remote/office/onsite arrangement depending on project needs)
Employment Type: Full -Time / Contract

About the Role

Atlas is seeking a Training & Development Manager to support the design, delivery, and quality control of our security training services. The role focuses on curriculum development, instructional planning, trainer coordination, training, and maintaining professional standards in line with UK legal and industry requirements.

This position is ideal for someone with established experience in security training, leadership development, or counter-terrorism education, who wants flexible work and involvement in a growing UK consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve training programmes across security, risk management and organisational resilience
  • Oversee planning, scheduling and delivery of courses
  • Source, manage and support external trainers and assessors
  • Ensure training content aligns with UK legislation, SIA requirements and current threat environments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and training records
  • Monitor learner performance, assessment methods and quality assurance
  • Update training material based on emerging risks and client needs
  • Work closely with consultancy and operational leads to ensure training supports real-world delivery

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong experience working in training, education, or security learning environments
  • Proven background developing or managing training programmes
  • Clear understanding of UK private security expectations and employer needs
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • Strong IT and document preparation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience delivering or managing counter-terrorism, risk, or emergency response training
  • UK SIA Trainer approval or equivalent specialist credentials
  • Background in military, policing, or strategic risk roles
  • Relevant degree or higher-level academic qualification

Working Pattern & Pay Structure

  • Contract assignment / Full-Time
  • Flexible weekly hours depending on projects
  • Pay rate aligned to project delivery and experience level
  • Competitive hourly or daily consultancy rate
